Here is a shot of the engine compartment in my 66 project. This is right before I started to tear it apart. It hasn’t looked like this for a while. This is pretty much how the engine bay will look when it’s done, but with a nicer firewall. I plan to hide as much of the wiring and hoses as I can, and smooth as much of the firewall as possible. |
This is a picture of the truck with the front clip removed. You can see how rusty the cab corner is there. And sitting on the frame rail is the good ol’ wire brush. |
This picture is the firewall, and frame. The windshield has been removed. Look how bulky the front cross member is. A mustang 2 cross member and a 460 would look nice here. The plan is to smooth off the firewall and get rid of most of those holes. I was surprised the cab was able to hold itself up with the condition he cab mounts were. Its all better now. |
